The patient presented in this paper is a 50 Years old male who was misdiagnosed as mitral valvular disease preoperatively.
But, left atrial myxoma was palpated at digital exploration and then this myxoma was successf my removed with the aid of the cardiopulmonary bypass and hypothermia. -
Post-operative course was uneventful. recognition and prompt surgical theranY W¢¥a¢¥ apparent. As Ieft atrial myxoma produces signs and symptoms mimicking those of rheumatic mitral valvular disease.
Lack of recognition prior to operation ma} lead to an attempt at closed mitral coznmissurotom¢¥ which result a sudden second operation with the use of extracorporeal circulation.
